The incident occurred at 4:45 am when they were traveling from Indore to Bhopal and their car rammed into the moving container. According to the Flight and Maritime Connectivity Rules, 2018, service providers must ensure mobile communication services operate at a minimum height of 3,000 metres to prevent interference with terrestrial net- works. The new rule states, "Notwithstanding the minimum height in Indian airspace referred to in sub-rule (1), internet services through Wi-Fi in aircraft shall be made available when electronic devices are permitted to be used in the aircraft." Security agencies argue that a key risk arising out of onboard WiFi include potential terrorists hacking into the aircraft system and using them remotely as missiles. Also, there are concerns that hijackers on board could use internet to communicate with their handlers on ground.
