On October 25, CM’s wife Parvathi BM, who is also an accused in the case, was questioned by the Lokayukta police. The CM is facing allegations of illegalities in the allotment of 14 sites to his wife by MUDA. It is alleged that the compensatory sites were allotted to Parvathi in an upmarket area in Mysuru having higher property value as compared to the location of her land which had been “acquired” by MUDA. — PTI PROSECUTE THE ATTACKERS: MEA The Ministry of External Affairs has said it condemns the acts of violence perpetrated by extremists and separatists at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Ontario, and expects that those indulging in violence will be prosecuted. The Tribune, the largest selling daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the paper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
The English edition apart, the 133-year-old Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
