Dear Readers

India is one of the 17 mega diverse countries in the world. It means that India has diverse ecological habitats namely forests, grasslands, wetlands, coastal, marine and desert ecosystem. To make people more aware about the conservation and protection of our ecosystem and wildlife, the Government of India celebrates ‘The Wildlife Week’ every year between 2nd and 8th October.

This is the 66th Wildlife Week and it carries the theme – RoaR. RoaR stands for Roar and Revive – that means establishing a special relationship with the flora and fauna in their varied and beautiful forms and appreciate their interactions among themselves and with us.

Let’s celebrate this Wildlife Week in our own way. How about we research and catalog all the birds that visit our terrace or balconies, do something special for the street dogs, read about our favourite wild animal, or watch a documentary with our parents.

Enjoy the edition
