India celebrates Independence Day on 15, a commemoration of the day the nation won independence after over 200 years of British colonialism. Since 1947 to 2019 India has seen 15 Prime Ministers. The 15th Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, currently holds the reins to help modify the course of our country’s development.
All our Prime Ministers have been people of wisdom, patriotism and statesmanship. As India’s leaders, they have had a transformative impact on the nation during their terms. In honour of the occasion of our Independence, we recount all 15 Prime Ministers, with a brief analysis of their influence and accomplishments.
