16 Going On 17
It’s a wonderful feeling to be entering our seventeenth year with The Sindhian, and I’ve been touched by the many letters I’ve received about the content we have put forth for our readers. While most have been extremely encouraging, some have pointed out our shortfalls. I take all feedback seriously and work towards giving our readers exactly what they need.
And here, in this first issue of 2020, our cover boasts of a very interesting Atlanta-based neurosurgeon and CNN’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta - a reporter with a medical degree, a TV host with a past White House Fellowship, and an author with a shelf of Emmys. A real heavyweight!
From there on, we spoke with entrepreneurs from New York, Hong Kong, Gibralter, and Singapore, and closer to home, those from New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, all to bring you their stories, their struggles, and their successes. And while their career paths are diverse - ranging from clothing, interiors, politics, and the wedding industry, to food, photography, beauty, fitness, and conservation, we found one common thread - that of a thirst for knowledge and a strong sense of determination (and that they’re all Sindhi, of course!).
I hope this issue leaves you feeling inspired and I wish you a wonderful start to the New Year!
