Highlights of India Today Telugu magazine dated December 25, 2012 carried a Cover Story on 'Indian Muslims'. The story tells us that the number of muslims behind the bars are increasing. It clearly states the fact that the number muslims in jails are all most all double to the proportion of their population. This is an exclusive story by India Today, which spent all most four months to get vital information through RTI pleas. The data combined with the statistics of National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) made the story an interesting piece. The story has the interview of central minister for minority affairs K Rahman Khan and the guest column by Justice Rajinder Sacchar (who chaired the reknowned Sacchar Committee on minorities). Guest column by Maneesha Sethi, the president of Jamia Teachers Solidority Association is also there. In the regional stories section, a special story on the All Party Meet on Telangana issue, that is going to be at Delhi on Dec 28th was carried. The story depicts how Congress and TDP are in blame game, instead of making their stance on Telangana clear. Story on the 4th World Telugu Conference that is going to be on the way from Dec 26th and the arrangements for it was published. One more regional story on the 'Surajya Movement' taken up by Lok Satta party of Jayaprakash Narayan was also there. News scan of Andhra Pradesh has been there with various items on United Andhra, Chinnari Choopu programme taken by AP Govt, Agitation on Sompet Thermal Power Station in Srikakulam, Under -10 World Chess champion Priyanka being felicitated, actor Abhishek Kumar being caught with drugs, etc. Apart from these, regular features like briefings, Cinebits and eyecatchers were there. In eyecatchers section, items on Rajini Kanth's 63rd birth day celebrations and actress Anushka looking for good roles and ready to learn horse riding have been carried.
