Story traced the conditions, which have made BC leaders shed differences and come together for the first time in the history of AP. This issue also coverd three page story on drought like situation in AP. The rice bowl of south India is passing through a tough time. The shrinkage of area under paddy cultivation in the state this season is unprecedented and estimated around 15 lakhs hectares compared to Khariff last year. Shortage of irrigation water in this kharif season has created drought the areas assured have irrigated water, which are, for the first time, staring at a drought-like situation. Our story looked at what farmers in various parts of the state doing to cope up with this, how much drop in paddy production is expected and what effects this natural drop in rice production going to have on availability of rice in the state. This latest Telugu issue also carried a three page story on Congress attempts to revamp the APCC with change of guard. Apart from these, the issue carried film reviews of latest Telugu films 'Julaayi', 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu'. In the section 'Media', story on Deccan Chronicle group in financial dolldrums was given. Book reviews, Film snippets, State regional news items made the issue richer. Important stories from the India Today English, like CAG report on coal scandal, Railway minister Mukul Roy, etc. were carried in Telugu too.
