The exclusive story on the proposed Aranmula airport in Pathanamthitta district, which recently received environmental clearance from Ministry for Forest and Environment revealed that the agency which conducted environmental study on the ecologically sensitive land has now does not have the permission to perform the same for airport projects. A special report on Nigerian drug mafia and a guest column by Bruce Riedel on Pakistan's failure to nab the accused of 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks were other important stories. A profile of N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and his plans for a safe political future were also featured. The auto column featured TVS Jupiter, Mahindra Mojo and Mahindra Bolero. The recent world chess championship which witnessed the rise of Magnus Carlsen as the world champion and Viswanathan Anand's misfiring was featured in a sports story, which focussed on the difference of their generations.
