This issue attempts to help students and parents understand the concept of a liberal arts programme and how it is different from a standard BSc or BA one. We have listed liberal arts programmes in India and abroad. Plus, nearly two dozen stories and interviews explore “liberal arts” from the perspectives of students, teachers, public universities, private universities, employment and recruiters. These look at the types of subject combinations possible; what foreign faculties bring to the programmes; admissions through summer camps; liberal arts in public universities, Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institutes of Management; employment opportunities; as well as the charge of ‘elitism’ and the possibility of protest and dissent on these campuses.

Addressing young professionals and students in the age bracket of 17-35, Careers360, India’s career counseling magazine help readers meet the challenges by offering them complete package of career reviews, information, data, comparisons and at times investigations which is of interest to our readers.
