About this issue

Dear Readers,   The winter sun brings out strong nostalgic feelings in all of us. Something about the warmth of the sun makes us want to go back to our happy place, back to those evocative memories which lie hidden in the back of our mind only to surface when exposed to the balmy sun. One such memory which always visits me at the start of winter is eating roasted peanuts with my parents, huddled in one single rajai and ceaselessly yapping. It never occurred to us to take a separate rajai! The idea of huddling in one made the essence of our winter.   There is something about the winter sun That brings about a nostalgic return Of memories fun Of yearnings on run ‘Snap Out’ you say - it’s easier said than done!   The balmy sun invites my kind And makes evocative memories remind Of magical castles of mind Of worries left behind ‘Snap Out’ you say - ‘Why’ I whined!   The lazy sun is winter’s jewel so fine It’s happy and cheerful, I opine Of comfort of the flowing sunshine Of beaming rays along the coastline ‘Snap Out’ you say - ‘it’s my turn’ you whine!   What is your winter memory, the one that leaves you with a smile no matter where you are?   Enjoy the edition! Priyanka
