Hello Readers, Seeing everyone’s interest in the news yesterday, my daughter asked me, “What’s the hullabaloo about”. Hullabaloo is her favorite word these days and she looks for a reason to use it. “Mrs Sitharaman is presenting the Union Budget. We want to know how it will affect us”, I said. “How will it affect me”, she blurted. “I don’t know, please sit and listen quietly, you’ll find out”, I was desperate to hear the news in peace. But she was not ready to give up “I hope Mrs. Sitharaman decides to open more parks for me. I don’t like that our park has broken swings and has potholes on the track. It will be so nice if they plant more flowers in the park so that it looks more pretty. But don’t get me wrong, I love my park, but I want it to become better”, she went on and on. She did not even notice that I had stopped listening to the news and was listening to her intently. Her sweet banter about how she wants the budget to include her demands was quite endearing and that’s when an idea occurred to me. Now, that you have read about the Union Budget 2021, you would have a fair idea of what it includes. I want to ask you, to write a budget with your point of view. What kind of a budget would you think would be all-inclusive {includes everyone (especially the children) in India}? What can a budget include which would make you happy? Let’s name it something interesting too ‘Children’s Budget for India 2021’. We are quite excited to read your beautiful ideas. Enjoy the edition! Priyanka
