About this issue

The recently concluded 59th Grammy Awards ceremony was a night filled with glamour, soulful music, and a whole lot of fun. Hosted by James Corden, the show saw some spectacular performances and touching speeches from the winners. Our Feature this week is a compilation of those special moments that will have everyone talking for days to come. Although there weren’t too many Indians nominated for this year’s Grammy Awards, India has, in the past, produced quite a few winners, including the likes of Pandit Ravi Shankar, A.R. Rahman, and Zakir Hussain. The second part of the Feature is a tribute to these maestros who made the country proud with their contribution to world music.   On the cover is actress Daisy Shah who was mentored by Salman Khan and was fortunate to debut in a venture of his home production—Jai Ho. There’s more to the happy go lucky damsel than meets the eye. Turn to Cover Story to get a glimpse into her journey.Taking the music theme forward, Grand Getaways features Kavya Bali’s trip to Rajasthan to attend the Magnetic Fields Festival that was a perfect amalgamation of international and local music, culture, and a whole lot of other activities. In People we talk with Abhinav Choudhari who along with his mother Poonam runs Jannat, the store located in Taj Deccan. His youthful spirit and attention to detail are what set him apart from the rest. While getting that perfect jawline may have seemed like a farfetched dream in the past, it is now easily achievable through surgical corrections and even injectables. Read Mind & Body for more details on how to get that well-defined jawline.
