September Issue was a Fair Issue that covered the 71st NGF Fair in a digital format. That fair was held from September 11 to September 20. It was inaugurated by Smt Smriti Zubin Irani. The cover story was on the beauty of the batik, which spoke about the royal collection of the King of Siam, which is also on display at the Queen Sirikit Museum in Thailand. The Feature story included an article on the latest fads in sheesha work. Mr Rakesh Biyani gave his last interview to Apparel as his tenure came to an end. Some brand profiles such as the one on Ashavali Weaves were also brought to light. CMAI showed appreciation to handloom workers with a beautiful piece written on the margic of handloom crafting and also attempted to survey the disastrous first quarter for the domestic garment industry. Finally the magazine ended with an enchanting interview of Tarun Tahiliani and his craze for drapes.
