About this issue

Early on 27 July Punjab witnessed a terror attack after two decades when three terrorists donning army uniforms opened indiscriminate fire on civilians and entered the Dina Nagar police station in Gurdaspur district, resulting in the death of seven persons including the SP. The swift response from the local Punjab Police SWAT teams has reiterated the need to have technologically enabled police forces at state levels that can take immediate and effective action, without having to look over their shoulders for central resources like the NSG.
