INDIAN BIOSUPPLIERS MARKET GROWING AT 9% CROSSES RS 8600 CRORE The biosciences revenue of the Indian BioSuppliers market touched Rs 8666 crore in 2019-20 registering a growth of 9 per cent over the previous year’s figure of Rs 7950 crore in 2018-19. The market registered a growth of 6 per cent in 2018-19 over the previous year’s figure of Rs 7500 crore. The government’s allocation of Rs 1,900 crore ($ 0.27 billion) for research in the Union Budget 2019-20 and Rs 62,659 crore ($ 8.96 billion) allocated for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare have helped the biosuppliers to see some good growth during the year as against the growth rate witnessed in 2018-19.
