Cross- sectional study is conducted to examine the effect of work stress and organizational support among public and private sector employees. Sample included 100 employees (60 male and 40 female) from each sector (Public and Private) have been taken on the basis of incidental sampling technique. The age ranges from 30-50 years. The tools used were Job stress survey by Speilberger, and Organizational support by Singh and Srivastava. Results of the present study revealed that significant difference exists between the public and private sector employees regarding organizational support. The private sector employees receives higher support from their organization. On overall work stress index also private sector employees were found to be higher. Gender differences are found to be significant on work stress and organizational support.
