Organisms resist change and react to external challenges by mounting responses that maintain their equilibrium. In everyday life human beings are constantly “dealing” with various stresses. Stress threatens the homeostasis, which in turn is balanceed through physical and psychological mechanism. The psychological component of dealing with the stressor is coping. One of the problems encountered in the literature is the multitude of definitions related to the concept of Coping. Although there have been many definitions, the essence of all definitions is that coping is a response aimed at diminishing the physical, emotional and psychological burden that linked to stressful life events and daily hassles (Snyder, et. al., 1987).
