There is an increase of school refusal that is being caused by parental pressure and teacher pressure on the school students to perform better academic ally. This triggers high level of anxiety and aversion to go school among the school going children, which results in school refusal. School refusal psycho-somatically affects the children and they develop various psycho-somatic symptoms such as loose-motion, fever, nausea, vomiting and seizures. A case of functional seizures triggered by school refusal is presented, along with therapeutic intervention.
