In the present study an attempt has been made to examine the impact of yogic practices upon trait anxiety of the respondents. The study was conducted upon 38 under graduate and post graduate students of Punjabi University, Patiala. Out of them 26 were boys and 12 were girls. The study adopted a pre-post design to compare the level of trait anxiety before and after the yogic interventions. The session continued for 3 months. At the beginning of this three month session it was started with ‘suksham byayams’ (warming up exercies) and gradually more advanced yogic practices were introduced. After three months, the trait anxiety scores were collected and compared with those of pre-intervention scores through‘t’ ratio, which came out to be significant. The finding has been discussed in light of related literature.
