The aim of the present study was to study the role of coping style in the relationship between stress and health outcomes. The sample of the present study comprised of 210 managers from different private sector organizations in India. Data were collected by using Occupational Stress Index by Srivastava and Singh (1981), The General Health Questionnaire by Goldberg (1972), and Coping Scale by Ingrid and Bengt (1996). Results indicate that role overload, role ambiguity, role conflict and coping significantly affect the health of managers. The results of moderated regression analyses show that coping significantly moderates the relationship between role overload and health as well as role ambiguity and health, but its moderating effect is somewhat limited for role conflict and health relationship.
