Customers make purchases in order to satisfy their needs. Firms can satisfy those needs only to the extent when they understand their customers. The wealth of products and services produced in a country make our economy strong. The behaviour of human beings during the purchase may be termed as ‘purchasing behaviour’. The article discusses consumer behaviour, decision process (pre and post), motives, and with respect to grocery items.
