In the transition period of adolescence, family environment and self efficacy play an effective role in adjustment. To study the role of these relevant variables in adjustment among adolescents, the present study was planned. The objectives of the study are to examine the relationship in self-efficacy, adjustment and family environment among adolescents, and to find out the predictors of adjustment. A sample of 194 adolescents (96 male and 98 female) in the age range of 16 to 18 years was selected for the presents study. The adolescents were assessed with Self-efficacy Questionnaire, Bell’s Adjustment Inventory (Hindi Adaptation), and Family Environment Scale. The data were analysed by Pearson’s Product Moment method of correlation, and Stepwise Regression Analysis. The results revealed that: (i) adjustment was negatively related with self-efficacy, and (ii) stepwise regression analysis indicated five predictors of adjustment, i.e. emotional self efficacy, organisation, conflict, active recreational orientation, and expressiveness.
