ECHOES of SILENCE
ECHOES of SILENCE

About ECHOES of SILENCE

A few years ago, I put my first step in literary world. My first book “Betiyan aur Rishty Hamary Aapky” was published in Hindi. My second book,” The Changing Face of India” was published in the year 2019. The” ECHOES of SILENCEs” is my third book of English poems. All poems depict different aspects of human nature, changing times, present situation and the beautiful nature. Writing a poetry is like painting a picture on a clean canvas with peace of mind and full concentration. Sometimes pen is mightier than the sword but we have to pen down our thoughts by keeping various factors in mind. I am following my dreams. God is my pillar of strength from the other world but my caring husband (A retired, Para-military Officer) and my loving, caring family remained my strength. My son Syed Sultan Omar and my lovely daughter-in-law Uzma Omar helped me to put my creativity on paper. One needs peace of mind and calm environment to study, concentrate and put fine thoughts on paper. You read for yourself but while writing for others one has to be aware as you articulate different situations in black and white, with positive thoughts. My parents belonged to highly educated background, they understood me and my siblings and molded us towards academics and sports. My own family helped me to fly. I am grateful to all of them. This book is dedicated to my parents, late Mrs. & Mr. Aziz Ahmad Siddiqi, who were avid readers and were my first teachers. A lot of English, Hindi, Urdu newspapers, magazines, Illustrated Weekly and Readers Digest were subscribed annually at my home. We had ample time to read them. My parents attended Mushairas and Kavi Sammelans with us. We loved all Hindi, Urdu and English poetries. At school level too I got many books for poetry recitation, debates and calligraphy. I am thankful to Asian Literary Society, Sri K.C.Sethi, Mrs. Anita Chand, Mr. Manoj Krishnan and whole team of Anuradha Prakashan's especially Sri Manmohan Sharma 'Sharan'. Following award were conferred on me. 1. Highest Scale of Excellence on being GEM of World Pictorial Coffee Table Anthology by World Pictorial Poetry Forum. 2.
