In this novel Smt. Janak vaid  has tried to pen down the pain, suffering and sorrow people went through when they lost their loved ones in the partition. What it is like to accept that they are gone forever now, yet  living on and hoping to meet them  someday, somehow.  Lot more twisted emotions and heart wrenching incidents have been poured out in the novel. She had beautifully expressed this through the character named “Baba”. He was left behind, when his family had moved to Pakistan during the partition. The novel has many more interesting characters who individually reflect how a beautiful bond can make and give a new meaning to life.
