'When a jilted woman hits back' is about man-woman relationship and its realistic and idealistic effects thereof. In the novel, Sheila, the protagonist is passing through the vicissitudes of life grappling with unusual situations. She gets emotionally attached with her own Professor. Being educated and determined she decides to give birth to their love child out of wedlock. Here the novelist brings forth that a woman need not disclose the name of the child's father. She is the creator and her role in perpetuating the human race needs to be accepted as such without any reservations. Dr. Rajinder Singh is an acclaimed author who has over two dozen books to his credit. He has written novels, short stories and a collection of poems in Punjabi, Hindi and English. He has also edited two magazines, 'Print' (English and Hindi quarterly) of New Delhi and 'Khuskhabri,' a Punjabi monthly of Jalandhar for about four years each. He also contributes articles to papers and journals in English and Punjabi.
