'Slices from a Life’ is a collection of the autobiographical anecdotes which Sh. Abhimanyu Unnuth, the famous Mauritian writer and colummist, had undergone from his childhood till the present day, spanning his entire life and career. These anecdotes were published as ‘Monday Views of Abhimanyu Unnuth’ under the weekly series titled ‘Slices from a Life’ in the popular Mauritian newspaper. The author says that some of his publishers in New Delhi had been persistently requesting him to write his memoirs for the sake of the Indian readers as they had been very popular with the Mauritian population, who owe their heritage and legacy to mother India literally.
