After the success of the first PubMeet organized by Mediology Software in Gurgaon, it was time to keep on moving forward. We believe in providing an open platform for the publishers to learn and share their views about growth & challenges in the digital publishing world. An idea, when executed well, can give out better results. That’s exactly what Team Readwhere decided to do.
After Gurgaon Publisher Meet, we decided to invite our clients in Mumbai for productive learning and strategy planning for their growth in 2020. As they say, let the creativity flow! Readwhere AdExchange’s Pioneering 2020, our second PubMeet was held on 8 January 2020 at Google office in Mumbai.
Mr Manish Dhingra, CEO & Co-founder at Mediology Software, talked about the rapidly changing the pattern of content consumption in the country and introduced everyone with ‘Vision 2020’. In this technology-driven world where the Internet speed and data limit is no longer an issue but an asset for the publishing industry. In this one-day interactive session, various challenges like keeping up with the latest technology trends, their solutions and opportunities were discussed.
In our list of Key speakers, Mr Jatin Nagpal, Principal Partner Manager, Google, joined us. He talked about various aspects helpful in focusing on the growth of the business for mobile users. Mr Jatin explained about the vital role of AMP(Accelerated Mobile Pages) in the digital publishing world. He also spoke about maximizing & optimizing revenue opportunities with Google AdSense. Quoting it as an effective way of Monetization, Jatin explained how publishers can display targeted text, video or image advertisements on website pages and earn.
We also had Ajay Luther, Partner Monetization Specialist from Google. Ajay enlightened the audience about the technical side involved in the growth process. Ajay focused on the most efficient and powerful way of delivering content via Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. With a vision of working on what lies ahead, Ajay made everyone aware of opportunities, including AI & ML for the publishers. We all have witnessed how AL & ML is doing wonders not just in various domains. Empowering improvements in user engagement, content presentation, editorial process can be done in a significant way with Google NLP, text to speech modules, various ways to promote trending content etc.
The major significance of this publisher meet was a Panel Discussion to discuss the aspirations and challenges of digital publishers in 2020 and beyond. Among the panellists, the highly experienced personalities from the publishing industry came up with exciting ideas. Mr Pradyuman Maheshwari, CEO of MxMIndia moderated the entire event.
