Half the year is already over… where did it go so quickly I guess this is what happens when you enjoy your work so much. What an extraordinary experience it’s been, publishing The Sindhian! We’ve met so many generous and entrepreneurial people along the way, emerging and evolving as we go. That’s what this journey is about, right   With GST being introduced from the 1st of July, many people still seem to be reeling in confusion. Even though most have come to terms with it, they still don’t know how it is going to pan out in the short term. Will it hamper businesses or will it bring about a boost We shall know soon.     In the meanwhile, life goes on, and we bring you more interesting stories this monsoon quarter. Reigning the restaurant empire in Manhattan, New York, and gracing the cover of this issue is the young, dynamic and witty Ravi DeRossi Lalchandani who has opened up sixteen bars and restaurants in a short span of time. What’s more - he has now decided to turn all of them vegan!     From Dubai, we talked to entrepreneurs Rajesh Khatwani and Jacky Panjabi. While Rajesh has built his company into one of the world’s most reputed urban environmental infrastructure and services groups, Jacky - the founder of consumer electronics giant Jacky’s Group, used his willpower and ambition to grow his multi-million dollar enterprise. And in Mumbai, with all the buzz around the country’s latest news channel - Republic TV - we discovered Vikas Khanchandani - its CEO.     This year, the spotlight seems to be on two evolving industries - food and fitness. As a consequence, we interviewed some brilliant minds dabbling in both. Businessmen and fitness enthusiasts Amit Nagpal, Ashish Mahtani, Devesh Takhtani and Aditya Berry took us through their rigorous exercise and diet regimes sharing the secret behind making it all look so effortless.
