Highlights of India Today – 15th October September 2018 issue: The cover story this week - A Fight For Her Rites - tells stories of ordinary women across communities - Hindu, Muslim, Parsi - who rose to challenge the discrimination against women entrenched in their religions.   The other cover story - The Second Sex - considers the vexed relationship between patriarchy, women, religion and the law from the eyes of six experts - scholars, activists and authors.   The Big Story -- The Price of Profligacy -- is on IL&FS and examines if the governments intervention to save the systemically important IL&FS can shore up its prospects and prevent a larger NBFC meltdown.   The other Big Story - A new court in session - talks about the likely challenges the incoming Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi will have to tackle through his tenure and also the opportunity that comes with the challenges to assert the centrality of the apex court.   The issue also puts the spotlight on Safaigiri Awards where India Today honoured the country’s safai sentinels of 2018.
