The “Make in India” Lion’s roar has finally reached the electronic security industry with the Government of India announcing the new amended Preferential Market Access PMA Policy, with a 100 preference to ‘Made in India’ products for procurement of CCTV Cameras Video and Sensor Based Alarm Systems by all government departments less Defence. The products must have a minimum indigenous Value Addition VA of 35 to start with, increasing by 5 every year till VA reaches 55 in 2017-18
