Solar Shines!, our cover story for the March 2017 edition of Power Today looked at the impact of the Union Budget on the sector, which was in particular full of sops for solar – in terms of investment, village electrification and taxes. However, we found that this calls for building renewable power compatible T&D infrastructure on a war footing. Our features were on Powerful PSUs and T&D Infrastructure. With the former focused on some of the PSUs involved in pushing India’s developmental agenda; while the latter analysed how with the Indian government looking at fortifying the T&D space and plugging the holes, the segment may be finally receiving its long overdue attention.
