Through our Cover Story, ‘A Deal for the Planet’, we tried to focus the preparations for the Paris Summit that lead the path to clinching the most elusive agreement, India setting one of the stiffest and the most ambitious targets in terms of limiting the greenhouse gases GHGs and the lead taken by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi in providing the thought leadership for the world community with his call for global “partnership” and “innovation” as a solution of this nagging man-made problem. Ultimately, it also sheds light on the likely challenges for achieving India’s INDC and the possible solutions. Meanwhile, the features focus on the Diesel Engine and Gensets, and Instrumentation and Control segments of the Power sector; while the Renew section focuses on the operation and maintenance O&M aspect of the wind energy sector.
