BACK TO THE GRINDIn spite of low efficiency, ball mills still continue to be used because of reliability, easy maintenance and cost considerations. Today ball mills are not used as standalone units but integrated with other equipment like VRPMs, separators, roller presses. The efficiency of energy utilisation in grinding is hardly 15-20 per cent. Therefore, any improvement in energy utilisation is always of high priority.
