There is no doubt that mobile apps have made a life lot easier. Cashing in on this opportunity, the National Payments Corporation of India NPCI, which is an umbrella organization for all retail payments system in India, has launched the Unified Payments Interface UPI to enable money transfers between two parties as easy as sending a text message from a mobile. UPI is a mobile-friendly payment option that eliminates the need of knowing or providing the bank details in order to sendreceive funds. Presently, 21 banks have launched their UPI-enabled app on the Google Play Store.
