Hello everyone, February was an especially good month for me. Not only did I write my first editorial as the new editor of Tinkle Digest, but I also met some of you Tinkle Digest fans at the Comic Con in Delhi from 7-9 February! Add to that the fact that ‘Mos Queeto’ won an award for the Best Continuing Graphic Series, and we have a truly celebratory month! March too holds a lot of promise. Holi, Paripally Gajamela in Kerala, the Goa Carnival and many other festivals are around the corner. I know that a lot of you will be studying for your exams, but I hope Tinkle Digest will give you a reason to celebrate! This month’s theme is ‘Colours and Moods’. Our initial idea was to make it a ‘Holi’ issue, but as we got thinking, we realized that colours aren’t restricted to the month of March alone! From the blue of the sky, to your favourite yellow t-shirt to the green pencil case you bought at the store, we encounter colours every where all the time. Colours also carry meanings, and they often affect our moods. Stop signs are coloured red because they are meant to alert you, where as green means ‘go’. Purple is considered royal, white is peaceful, and so on. In this issue, there are many colourful stories. Hooja has a gala time while Tantri repents, in ‘The Holi Spirit’, Shambu has an unexpected encounter in ‘The Wild Cat’, and the Defective Detectives untangle a mystery in ‘The Grand Piano Heist’. A brand new ‘Green Humour’, ‘Digest Times’ and activity pages also vie for your attention. Last month, a lot of you asked for a Pyarelal story through your feedback forms, and here it is! Your wish, as always, is our command! Do continue to write to us. We love reading your feedback. Wishing you a happy, bright, and colourful month,
Shriya
